OUR SERVICES
Medical Oncology Consultation
If you or your patient already have a definitive or suspected diagnosis of cancer, a complete clinical history and physical examination will be performed at the first consultation, along with a review of the available studies.
During this consultation, the situation of the current disease, the best treatment plan to follow, as well as the prognosis, will be established.

BIOPSY
The diagnosis of "cancer" can be difficult for the Patient and their Family.
RADIOTHERAPY
The diagnosis of "cancer" can be difficult for the Patient and their Family.
Types of Oncologic Surgery
Curative surgery: This involves completely removing the tumor and surrounding affected tissue to prevent the cancer from spreading.
Diagnostic surgery (biopsy): A sample of tissue is removed to test for cancer and determine its type.
Palliative surgery: It does not cure cancer, but it helps relieve symptoms such as pain or obstruction of affected organs.
Reconstructive surgery: This is performed after tumor removal to restore the appearance or function of the affected area (e.g., breast reconstruction after a mastectomy).
Preventive surgery: This is performed on people at high risk of developing cancer, such as prophylactic mastectomy in cases of genetic mutations (BRCA1 or BRCA2).
Factors to Consider
Tumor location and size: Determines whether surgery is feasible and what technique will be used.
Patient's health status: An assessment is made of whether the patient can tolerate the operation.
Cancer type: Some cancers respond better to surgery than others.
Extent of the disease: If the cancer has spread, surgery may need to be combined with other treatments.
